The Pacmasta HD sealer 16mm PET strapping tool is a hand-operated crimping tool designed specifically for closing strap joints on 16mm polyethylene terephthalate (PET) strap. Built for industrial and commercial packaging environments, it gives operators a practical, dependable manual method for securing PET strap around loads without requiring any power source.

Key Features of the Pacmasta HD Sealer 16mm PET Strapping Tool

The following features make the Pacmasta HD sealer 16mm PET strapping tool a straightforward, dependable choice for operations that rely on 16mm PET strap and prefer a manual sealing method.

  • Designed specifically for 16mm PET strapping, ensuring a correct and consistent fit with compatible strap widths
  • Heavy-duty construction suited to regular, ongoing use in industrial packaging settings
  • Fully manual hand tool operation - requires no power source, making it practical for use anywhere on the warehouse floor or loading dock
  • Compatible with standard 16mm metal PET seals, allowing seals to be crimped firmly and securely onto the strap joint
  • Compact tool format that is straightforward to handle and operate

How It Works

The Pacmasta HD sealer 16mm PET strapping tool works by crimping a metal seal onto the overlapping ends of a PET strap joint. The operator threads both strap ends through a metal seal, positions the tool over the seal, and applies hand pressure to crimp it closed. This locks the strap tension in place around the load. Because it is entirely manual, it suits operations where volume does not justify a powered tensioner-sealer combination, or where a lightweight, portable option is preferred for occasional or on-the-spot strapping tasks.

Typical Applications

The Pacmasta HD sealer 16mm PET strapping tool is suited to a broad range of industrial and commercial packaging tasks. Common applications include securing bundled timber, steel, pipe, or other long or heavy products for transport; strapping palletised loads in warehouses and distribution centres; and reinforcing packaged goods in manufacturing or export environments. It is appropriate wherever 16mm PET strap is the chosen strapping medium and a hand sealer is the preferred method of closing the strap joint.

Compatibility and Consumables

This tool is intended for use with 16mm PET strapping and compatible 16mm metal seals. Operators should ensure that the seals used are rated for the strap width and load requirements of their specific application. Using the correct seal type and strap grade will help achieve a secure, consistent joint and reduce the risk of strap failure during transit.

The Pacmasta HD sealer 16mm PET strapping tool is a practical, no-fuss choice for packaging teams that need a reliable manual sealer purpose-built for 16mm PET strap. It is simple to use and well suited to a wide range of industrial load types. For operations requiring higher-volume output, the Pacmasta Combo Battery Tool For 12-16mm combines tensioning and sealing in a single cordless unit and may be worth considering alongside this manual tool. All prices include GST where applicable at the current rate.
