CONTROLS AND MACHINE SAFETY
Delem control and comprehensive guarding as standard
Delem is widely regarded as the de facto press brake control standard in Australia. Its familiar interface, strong local industry acceptance and broad operator experience make training, recruitment and day-to-day production easier than adopting an unfamiliar proprietary control platform.
Adds a more visual 2D programming workflow and improved job preparation. A strong choice for mixed workshop production where fast setup, graphical verification and easy operation are important.
A higher-level control for demanding production environments, with advanced 2D programming, detailed graphical simulation and more comprehensive machine and process control for complex bending work.
The premium option for complex components and sophisticated production. Its 3D programming and visualisation capabilities help operators plan bending sequences, check the part and reduce setup risk before production begins.
Guarding the complete press brake working area
Safety is not limited to the front tooling zone. Plasquip press brakes are specified with a coordinated guarding package covering the normal operator position as well as side and rear access points.
Laser guarding protects the active bending area while supporting productive machine operation. The selected system is matched to the machine and control configuration.
Mechanical side guards restrict access to hazardous moving areas beside the machine and form part of the standard machine guarding package.
Rear access is protected using physical guarding together with an appropriate monitored solution, such as interlocked access and/or light curtains, according to the machine layout and site risk assessment.
The final guarding layout is confirmed for each installation and must suit the machine configuration, production method and Australian workplace requirements.
