The Pacmasta 300mm hand sealer 5mm seal is a manually operated benchtop heat sealer designed for businesses that need a dependable, straightforward sealing solution without the complexity of automated equipment. It produces a firm, clean 5mm wide closure across a 300mm sealing bar, making it a practical fit for a wide range of standard bag and flexible film packaging tasks.
This sealer is built around a simple, operator-driven format that suits environments where flexibility and control matter more than high throughput. The core specifications of the 300mm hand sealer 5mm seal are as follows:
Operating this sealer is straightforward. The bag or film is placed across the sealing element, and the operator presses the sealing arm down to apply heat across the full 300mm length of the bar. This fuses the material together, producing a 5mm wide seal. Because each seal is initiated manually, the operator retains full control over positioning and dwell time. This is particularly useful when sealing irregularly filled bags or when working with a variety of bag sizes on the same bench. That level of hands-on control suits low-to-medium volume environments where flexibility is valued over throughput speed.
The 300mm hand sealer 5mm seal is commonly used across food packaging, retail product bagging, small-scale manufacturing, warehouse dispatch, and light industrial packaging operations. It is well suited to sealing polythene bags, laminated pouches, and similar flexible packaging materials where a 300mm jaw length and 5mm seal width match the product being packed. Typical settings include small food producers, market stalls, trade counters, and back-of-house retail packaging areas where individual or small-batch sealing is the norm.
This Pacmasta 300mm hand sealer with 5mm seal is a practical choice for operators who seal bags manually and do not require the output speed of a foot-operated or automatic machine. It also represents a cost-effective entry point for businesses setting up a packaging station for the first time, or for those who need a secondary sealer on a packing bench without committing to a larger machine footprint. The hand-operated format is well matched to environments where sealing volumes are modest and operator flexibility matters.
If throughput increases or you need to keep both hands free during sealing, a foot-operated alternative with the same 300mm jaw length may be worth considering. The Pacmasta Impulse Heat Sealer - Foot Operated 300mm x 2mm Seal offers a comparable sealing length in a foot-operated format suited to busier packing lines.
