The Pacmasta double notch sealer 12mm steel strap tool is a heavy-duty hand sealer built for operators who need dependable, repeatable closures on 12mm steel strapping. Compatible with CS-13 snap-on seals, it produces a twin-notch crimp that mechanically locks strap ends together without heat or consumable wire - making it well suited to busy warehouse, production, and dispatch environments.
The following features apply specifically to this Pacmasta double notch sealer 12mm steel strap model:
A double notch sealer operates by crimping a steel seal around the overlapping ends of a steel strap. The tool forms two notches - one on each side of the seal - which lock the strap ends together mechanically. Because the twin-notch design spreads load across two contact points, the seal is less likely to release under tension or vibration compared with a single-notch closure. The CS-13 snap-on seal clips over the strap before the crimp is applied, keeping everything aligned and making the process faster and more consistent across a full shift of strapping work.
The double notch sealer 12mm steel strap tool is well suited to bundling and unitising medium-weight loads where steel strapping is preferred over plastic alternatives. Typical use cases include securing timber packs, banding metal components, closing crates and boxes for export, and strapping palletised goods in manufacturing and distribution environments. Steel strapping is commonly specified for loads that are sharp-edged, heavy, or subject to temperature variation - conditions where plastic strap may stretch or fail over time. The snap-on seal design makes this tool a practical choice for operators completing a high volume of closures throughout the working day.
Matching your sealer to your strap width is important for producing clean, consistent notches and reducing wear on the tool. This Pacmasta double notch sealer 12mm steel strap model is built specifically for 12mm strap and CS-13 seals. If your application involves wider steel strap, the Pacmasta D.Notch HD L/Handle Sealer for 19mm is the equivalent tool in the next size up, featuring a long-handle design for additional leverage when sealing heavier strap. Selecting the correctly sized tool ensures reliable performance and extends the working life of both the sealer and the seals.
