The Pacmasta bag neck sealer 16-19mm tape is a purpose-built manual sealing tool designed to close and secure bag necks cleanly and repeatably across a wide range of packing environments. Compatible with tape widths from 16mm to 19mm, it suits operations that already work within that common tape specification and need a straightforward, reliable solution for bag closure without the cost or complexity of automated equipment.

Key Features of the Bag Neck Sealer 16-19mm Tape

This Pacmasta bag neck sealer is engineered specifically for 16-19mm tape, meaning the tape path and feed mechanism are matched to that width range for a correct fit and dependable performance across extended use.

  • Compatible with 16mm to 19mm wide tape - a common specification in light-duty and medium-duty packaging lines
  • Compact dimensions of 260mm (L) x 100mm (W) x 230mm (H), keeping bench and workstation space requirements low
  • Purpose-built for bag neck sealing applications, delivering a neat, secure closure every time
  • Manual operation - no power source required, reducing setup complexity and maintenance overhead
  • Supplied by Pacmasta, a recognised name in packaging dispensing equipment

How It Works

A bag neck sealer works by gathering the open neck of a filled bag and applying a band of tape around it to form a closed seal. The operator gathers the bag neck, positions it within the sealer, and the tape is applied to hold the neck firmly in place. This method is faster and more consistent than manual tying and produces a tidier result than loose folding alone. Because the tape width is fixed at 16-19mm, the seal is uniform across every bag - which matters in high-volume or quality-sensitive packing environments. The compact footprint means this unit sits comfortably on a packing bench without consuming excessive space, a practical advantage in busy facilities where bench space is limited.

Typical Applications

The bag neck sealer 16-19mm tape suits a broad range of industries and packing scenarios. It is commonly used in food packaging operations where bags of produce, snacks, or dry goods need to be closed after filling. Agricultural businesses sealing bags of seed, feed, or soil additives find this style of sealer well suited to their workflow. Retail product fulfilment operations, e-commerce pick-and-pack stations, and small manufacturing environments all benefit from having a consistent bag neck sealer on the workbench. Wherever bags are filled and need to be closed quickly - without specialised heat-sealing equipment - a tape-based bag neck sealer offers a cost-effective and flexible solution.

If your facility also handles general bench-based tape dispensing tasks alongside bag neck sealing, the Pacmasta Bench Dispenser 25mm is a related option worth reviewing. Together, these tools cover a range of manual tape dispensing needs without requiring a large capital outlay or significant operator training.
