The MIP-1300 flat pack steel tensioner 19mm - sold as the Pac-King HD Flat Pack Steel Tensioner - is a heavy-duty manual strapping tool designed for industrial and commercial packaging operations that apply steel strap to flat or rectangular loads on a regular basis. Sites already running MIP-1300 tooling will find this a direct equivalent, making replacement or fleet expansion straightforward without retraining operators or modifying existing strapping procedures.

Key Features of the MIP-1300 Flat Pack Steel Tensioner 19mm

The following features reflect the published specification for this tensioner:

  • Heavy-duty rated: Built for HD applications where firm, repeatable strap tension is required throughout a full working shift, not just occasional use.
  • Compatible strap widths - 12mm to 19mm: Accepts steel strapping from 12mm up to 19mm, covering the widths most commonly used in industrial manual strapping setups.
  • Flat pack load specific: Engineered for flat or regular-profile package loads where the strap lies flat across the surface. This tool is not suitable for round or irregular load profiles - operators working with those load types should select a tensioner designed for that configuration.
  • Made in the USA: Manufactured in the United States to the production standards expected in heavy industrial and packaging environments.
  • Direct equivalent to MIP-1300: Cross-references with the MIP-1300 model, allowing straightforward matching or like-for-like replacement of existing tooling on site without disrupting your current strapping station.

Typical Applications

The MIP-1300 flat pack steel tensioner 19mm suits warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution operations where steel strapping is applied manually to flat or rectangular packages, pallets, or bundled goods. Facilities strapping timber, building materials, steel products, or other flat-profiled loads in the 12-19mm strap range will find this tensioner appropriate for daily use. Industries including construction supply, steel distribution, and heavy manufacturing regularly rely on tools in this class where consistent pull force is needed without the added cost or complexity of pneumatic equipment. Because this tool is rated specifically for flat pack configurations, it is important to confirm that your load profile matches - round or irregular loads require a different tensioner design.

Building a Complete Steel Strapping Station

When setting up a manual steel strapping station, matching your tensioner, sealer, and seals to the same strap width is important for safe and consistent performance across every application. The MIP-1300 flat pack steel tensioner 19mm fits into this kind of coordinated setup alongside compatible 19mm sealers and seals. If your operation also involves round pack loads in the same strap width range, the Pacmasta HD L/Handle Steel Tensioner To 19mm is designed specifically for that load type and is worth reviewing alongside this tool. Selecting the right tensioner for each load profile keeps your strapping process efficient and reduces the risk of under- or over-tensioning across different applications.
