The mobile strap dispenser PMC-100 from Pacmasta is a purpose-built unit designed to feed polypropylene (PP) strapping smoothly and consistently in active packing environments. Supplied complete with plastic discs and a bucket base, the PMC-100 keeps your PP strap coil stable, controlled, and ready to dispense without tangling or rolling across the floor.

Key Features of the Mobile Strap Dispenser PMC-100

The following specifications are confirmed for the Pacmasta PMC-100:

  • Product Code: PMC-100
  • Compatible Strap Type: Polypropylene (PP)
  • Core Sizes Supported: 200mm and 280mm
  • Maximum Outer Diameter: 490mm
  • Included Accessories: Plastic discs and bucket base
  • Mobile design allows the unit to be moved easily around a warehouse, despatch area, or loading dock
  • Plastic discs support the coil and keep it centred, allowing smooth rotation as strap is drawn off - reducing kinks and snags that slow down manual strapping work
  • Bucket-style base contains the coil and prevents it from unspooling onto the ground, keeping the work area tidy and reducing trip hazards

Because the PMC-100 accommodates both 200mm and 280mm core sizes with an outer diameter up to 490mm, it is compatible with a wide range of standard PP strap coils commonly available in Australia. The plastic discs allow the coil to rotate freely as strap is pulled, which reduces the friction and resistance that can cause kinks or snags during manual strapping. The bucket base adds further stability, keeping the unit upright and secure during use even when the coil is nearly depleted.

Why Use a Mobile Dispenser?

A mobile strap dispenser offers a clear practical advantage over leaving a coil on the floor or relying on a fixed reel stand. The operator can bring the strap to the job rather than carrying product back to a fixed point. This reduces handling time, minimises trip hazards from loose strap trailing across the floor, and keeps the coil clean and protected from damage. For operations that strap goods at multiple points or across varying workstations, the portability of the PMC-100 makes a measurable difference to daily workflow without requiring any infrastructure changes.

Typical Applications

The mobile strap dispenser PMC-100 suits any business that uses polypropylene strapping regularly and needs a portable, practical way to manage coils on the packing floor. Common applications include despatch and fulfilment operations where operators move between workstations, warehouses handling mixed product sizes that require frequent strap changes, and loading docks where space is limited and a fixed strapping station is not practical. The PMC-100 is equally well suited to smaller operations that strap goods manually and want to avoid the mess and hazard of a loose coil on the floor.

For warehouses and despatch operations already running Pacmasta hand tools, the PMC-100 fits naturally into an existing manual strapping setup. If you are building out or extending a complete PP strapping system, the Pacmasta Standard PP Sealer For 16mm is a compatible option worth considering alongside this dispenser. All prices include GST where applicable at the current rate.
