These 50x50x4mm white edge board protectors are cardboard corner protection products designed to protect palletised goods, cartons and strapped loads during storage, handling and freight. Sold in a box of 1000, they give warehouse, manufacturing and logistics teams a cost-effective way to reinforce vulnerable edges and improve load stability before strapping or stretch wrapping is applied.

Key Features of These 50x50x4mm White Edge Board Protectors

  • Cardboard construction suitable for carton corners, pallet edges and strapped loads
  • 50mm x 50mm face width with 4mm board thickness for consistent edge coverage
  • Helps distribute strapping pressure and reduce carton crushing
  • Protects exposed edges from impact and handling damage during transport
  • Compatible with strapping, stretch wrapping and standard palletising workflows
  • Suited to warehouse, manufacturing and logistics environments
  • Box of 1000 units for ongoing operational use
  • White finish for a neat, professional appearance on finished pallets

How These Edge Board Protectors Work

When strapping is applied directly to a carton corner or pallet edge, the tension concentrates in a small area and can crush or mark the packaging. Placing a 50x50x4mm white edge board protector at each corner before strapping or stretch film is applied spreads that pressure along the full face of the board. This helps maintain the shape of the load, reduces the chance of damage to the outer packaging, and gives the finished pallet a more stable, uniform profile.

For best results, position the edge board squarely against the carton or pallet corner so both faces sit flat against the surfaces being protected. The protector should be in place before any strapping or stretch film is tensioned around the load.

Typical Applications

These 50x50x4mm white edge board protectors are well suited to palletised cartons, furniture, sheet materials, long products, stacked goods and general freight. They are commonly used in warehouses, manufacturing facilities and distribution centres where loads are regularly strapped, stretch-wrapped or moved by forklift. They are also practical where goods pass through multiple handling stages or are stored in racking, as the additional corner support helps the load hold its shape throughout the supply chain. These edge board protectors work alongside other standard packing materials including stretch film, pallet strapping, kraft paper and protective void fill as part of a complete dispatch process.

The box-of-1000 format makes these white edge board protectors a practical choice for operations that dispatch goods regularly and need a reliable supply of corner protection on hand at all times. When cutting edge boards to a specific length is required, the Dura-Grip Edge Board Cutter is designed to make this faster and cleaner, helping reduce waste and ensuring each piece sits neatly on the load before wrapping or strapping begins.
