The combination strap dispenser MDHB from Pacmasta is a floor-standing, multi-core dispensing unit designed to handle woven, composite, and polypropylene (PP) strapping from a single platform. Where most dispensers are fixed to one core size, the MDHB accepts four different core diameters, making it a practical choice for any operation that works with more than one strapping type or switches between coil sizes during a shift.
The MDHB is built around versatility. The following specifications and features are confirmed for this unit:
The "combination" designation refers specifically to the MDHB's ability to accept multiple core diameters rather than being fixed to a single size. This is the key distinction that separates it from single-core dispenser units and means teams no longer need a separate dispenser for each coil type kept on hand.
A strap dispenser holds a coil in a controlled, stable position so the operator can draw strapping off smoothly and consistently. Without a dispenser, coils can unravel, tangle, or shift underfoot, slowing down the line and creating material waste. The MDHB addresses this by providing a fixed platform that keeps the coil seated correctly regardless of which of the four supported core sizes is loaded. The operator loads the coil onto the dispenser, threads the strap through to a hand tensioner or sealing tool, and draws off the required length with minimal resistance.
The combination strap dispenser MDHB suits a broad range of industrial and warehousing environments, including pallet strapping operations, timber yards, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centres where woven or composite strapping is applied manually or with a hand tensioner. Sites that handle mixed coil sizes across a single shift - for example, switching between a woven strap on heavy pallets and a composite strap on lighter or irregularly shaped loads - gain the most from having a single dispenser capable of accommodating all four core sizes. The MDHB fits equally well in a high-throughput packing line or a lower-volume despatch area where flexibility across strap types matters more than a fixed, dedicated setup.
The combination strap dispenser MDHB is intended to be used alongside tensioners and seals from the Pacmasta range. Once the strap is drawn off the dispenser, it is tensioned using an appropriate hand tool before being secured with a seal or buckle. The Heavy Duty Tensioner 19-35mm for Composite & Woven (Pacmasta TST-30HD) is one option worth considering for manual tensioning of woven and composite strapping. Choosing the correct tensioner for your strap width and type is important for achieving consistent, secure loads. If your operation uses a single coil type rather than mixed sizes, a dedicated single-core unit may suit your needs instead. All prices include GST where applicable at the current rate.
