Dura-Grip short pusher seals for steel strapping provide a secure, consistent joint on high-tension strapping applications across warehouse, manufacturing, and export environments. Available in 12mm, 16mm, and 19mm widths - each supplied in a box of 1000 - these seals are designed for operators who need a dependable closure on every strap, every time.
\n\nUnlike open seals that are fitted after tensioning, short pusher seals must be threaded onto the strapping before the tension tool is applied. During tensioning, the nose of the tensioner butts directly against the seal body, meaning the seal bears the full force of applied tension. This threading-first method is what allows short pusher seals for steel strapping to achieve a tighter, stronger closure than seals fitted after tension is set. The finished joint holds firmly through loading, transit, and unloading.
\n\nThese short pusher seals are engineered with details suited to heavy loads and round or irregular package profiles:
\nSelecting the correct seal width is straightforward: match the seal size to your steel strapping width. The 12mm seals suit 12mm strapping, the 16mm seals suit 16mm strapping, and the 19mm seals suit 19mm steel strapping. Using the correct size ensures the strapping passes cleanly through the seal body and achieves a secure joint once the tensioner is applied. If you are unsure which strap width suits your load, consider the break strength of the strap relative to the weight and profile of the package being secured.
\n\nShort pusher seals for steel strapping are particularly well suited to round packages, where the curvature of the load places additional stress on the seal joint. They perform reliably across heavy-duty industrial and commercial applications including timber, pipe, tubing, and steel products - wherever strapping must maintain tension throughout the full logistics chain. Operators in warehouse, manufacturing, and export settings running high-volume operations across 12mm, 16mm, or 19mm steel strapping will find these seals a consistent performer.
\n\nTo get the most from these short pusher seals for steel strapping, pair them with a compatible tensioner. The Pacmasta HD L/Handle Steel Tensioner to 19mm is a well-matched tool for use with 19mm pusher seals, providing the controlled tension needed for a reliable closure on round packs and heavy-duty loads. Prices shown include GST where applicable at the current rate.
