Dura-Grip wire buckles for PP strapping in 12mm, 16mm, and 19mm HD galvanised provide a fast, tool-free closure solution for hand-grade polypropylene strapping. No crimping tool or sealer is needed - the self-locking buckle grips the strap under tension once the tail is pulled tight and cut, creating a secure joint entirely by hand. Each box contains 1000 buckles, making stock management straightforward for operations where volume and consistency matter.
\n\nApplying a wire buckle is a simple hand operation. The polypropylene strap is looped through the buckle, pulled tight against the load, and the tail is cut. The self-locking mechanism grips the strap without any additional equipment. This makes wire buckles for PP strapping particularly well suited to packing benches, mobile work sites, or field applications where carrying a powered or pneumatic tool is not practical.
\n\nThe following features apply across the 12mm, 16mm, and 19mm HD range of Dura-Grip wire buckles for PP strapping:
\nMatching the buckle width to your strap width is essential for a secure joint. The 12mm and 16mm options suit lighter bundling and general-purpose strapping tasks, while the 19mm HD galvanised buckle is the heaviest-duty choice in the range and is recommended for heavier loads or environments where moisture or corrosion is a concern. If you are unsure which width suits your application, consider the weight of your typical load and the strap width you already stock.
\n\nWire buckles for PP strapping suit a wide range of bundling and unitising tasks across warehousing, manufacturing, agriculture, and logistics. They are commonly used to strap boxes, cartons, and irregular loads where a quick, tool-free closure is preferred. The 19mm HD galvanised buckle is particularly useful in outdoor settings or wherever a heavier-duty strap joint is required. Because they are applied entirely by hand, wire buckles are also a practical choice for mobile operations where a powered or pneumatic sealing tool is not available on site.
\n\nIf your operation also requires a tool-based closure method for 19mm polypropylene strapping alongside these hand buckles, the Pacmasta L/Handle PP Sealer for 19mm is a compatible option for crimped seal joints on 19mm PP strap. All prices include GST where applicable at the current rate.
